Dual Function Conference Room
This room at the California College of the Arts double-functions as both a meeting room for the board of trustees of the college and as a classroom for the students.
Curvilinear Meeting Space
The shape of the room follows the profile of the conference table, the sides of which are curved to allow for direct sight lines in large groups. The curved walls give the room an intimate feel and improve its acoustic qualities.
Traditional Materials
The material palette of mahogany wall slats, dark cork tabletop, and heavy woven carpet conveys an image of boardroom tradition without being so specific as to limit other possible uses.
