OSHO RESTAURANT

San Francisco Airport Restaurant

Osho is one of several restaurants inside the food court of San Francisco Airport’s new International Terminal. Using the Japanese Bento Box as a metaphor, this sushi restaurant’s counter is expressed as a bamboo frame that carefully organizes the contained elements and separates them from the surrounding activity.

Bento Box Frame

The large scale of the frame, and the luminous quality of the glass and metal fabrications contained within, are intended to catch the attention of the airport clientele. The design strives to be as carefully crafted, proportioned and organized as the food that is served.
